I recently used JLR Autocare to service both our cars, first a Land Rover Discovery, then a Jaguar I-Pace. They are very expensive (labour rate is £120 per hour, by far the highest I've encountered for an independent garage), but I went ahead with the I-Pace as local options for JLR servicing are limited. As the I-Pace is an EV, servicing is quite straightforward. This service involved changing the pollen filter, brake fluid, and basic inspection/diagnostics check. The price for this service through a JLR main dealer is £277, for this service+MOT (which passed with no advisories) I was charged an astonishing £986 by JLR Autocare. Their price for basic service related costs (including 2.85 hours of labour) was £546, with an extra £215 charge to replace rear brake pads, and £180 for coolant. Replacement of coolant was not due on this service, and when challenged, this was claimed to be for 2.5litre top-up to restore pH level. I was given no up-front pricing, and naively assumed they would be cheaper than a JLR main dealer. None of the additional charges were discussed beforehand, contrary to the claims on their website about honest, up-front charging. Fortunately, I was able force a refund for work carried out without permission by threatening to make a Section 75 credit card claim against them, which, in a clear admission of liability, they paid. I strongly advise not to use this garage, as they cannot be trusted to charge honestly or fairly. I have no doubt that JLR Autocare will post a response about how disappointed they are with my actions, how they acted in good faith etc., so I've added a photo of the invoice to this review. Amusingly, I have been banned for life from this garage!

MOT and service on my Jag. Very welcoming team. Had to wait for my vehicle as I'm not local, but was able to work on my laptop using their wi-fi. They offered me coffee and kept me informed of progress to my car whilst I waited. All in all I'm very impressed and will be back! Thank you
